People who are big fans of Junior Boys might familiar and count on their timeline of successful in music industry. This music group formed in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, comes out with genre music electropop, dance-pop, indie electronic, and technopop music. These genres of music are considered as modern eventhough they were produced in the era of 2000s. Junior boys is not a brand new music group, yet they had been emerged since 1999.

What makes them exist until now is their compactness, solidarity, and commitment. By holding these principals, they can exist in the middle of competition of music group in the world. Junior boys consists of two cool men Jeremy Greenspan and Matt Didemus. At the early time they run the mudic group, Johnny Dark was involved. Yet before their debute album, Johnny Dark left the band and was replaced by Matt Didemus.

The first years of their career, 1999-2007, they came out with the album Last Exit and So This Is Goodbye. Their debute were started after being rejected by many music studio even they were almost broke up. It was not long after Johnny Dark left, the band made KIN Records interested to get coorperated with Junior Boys. It was begun when KIN Records heard their work at the end of 2002. At that time, the member of Junior boys was only Jeremy Greenspan until Matt Didemus, his engineer he began the band again. They wrote more substantials and producing an album together.

In October 2003, they, firsly, released “Birthday/Last Exit” with a remix by Fennesz which brought them bright in music industry. It was followed by the song “The High Come Down” in February 2004 with a Manitoba remix began to spread. Junior boys debut album, then, was released 21 September 2004 on KIN Records. In 2006, Junior Boys released their new remix of “The Loving Sounds of Static” by Mobius Band on the Ghostly International Idol Tryouts 2 in accumulation of “See You on The Moon”, exactly on 21 March 2006. Meanwhile, their second album, So This Is Goodbye, was came out in August 2006 on Domino.

In 2007, junior boys sparked their wings on a North American tour and Europe for Numerous festivals. The song of “The Dead Horse EP” was remixed and was released in April. Their fans also can enjoy the music from iTunes exclusively live EP. On July 2007, the second album of Junior Boys was exposed as being on the shortlist for the Polaris Music Prize in 2007.

On 16 January 2009, an official press release of third full-length album was announced by Junior Boys which entitled “Begone Dull Care”. In Canada, it was released on 24 March 2009, while in the United Stated, it was released on 7 April. Furthermore, through their Facebook page, Junior Boys announced that their new album was almost accomplished on 9 October 2010. On 13 June 2011, their new album, It’s All Truewas released. In 2012 until now, they have had fifth studio album, “Big Black Coat” which in February 2016 was released on their new label home, City Slang.
